As is clearly shown in the first picture, a father is watching a video while telling his son to study hard. In the second picture, another father is studying just as his son is doing. What the two pictures intend to illustrate is: rather than make requests to your kids, why not set an example for them?

As an old saying goes, a good example is the best way of persuasion. There is no doubt that parents are of vital importance for the growing-up of their kids. As parents, you should do well what you want your kids to do. Kids’ ability to judge right from wrong needs to be developed, so if you are not setting a good example, you may lead them to a wrong way.

Therefore, it is a compelling obligation for parents to set a good example for our kids. As long as we give them the lead by practising what we preaches, our kids will surely follow our way.

In the left picture,“Son, go and study quickly!”shouts the father who is watching TV sitting in the couch and smoking. The boy actually can’t focus on his homework at all. While in the right picture, both the father and the boy concentrate on their study. The words below the pictures saying“Instead of just demanding, setting a good example is more important.”

We’re all aware that parents play great important role in the growing of their children. Parents can teach children by setting good examples in their daily life. If parents can not achieve their requirements, how can they ask their children to do so? In children’s view, their parents are always perfect, and they do what their parents do, especially when they’re young. So it’s of great significance to set good examples for the children.

Above all, parents cannot just tell their children what to do, they should also discipline themselves. In this way, children can feel that they’re respected and treated equally.

Wise people used to say that taking actions is of utmost significance in our daily life. This is most vividly illustrated in the given picture, which shows that a father is asking his little son to study hard in the first picture, while in the second picture, the father is setting a model for the son.They happily sit together to study. Funny as the picture, the symbolic meaning is as deep as ocean.

Studying it further, it is easy to figure out that taking actions to guide the child is the only way to fulfill parents’ responsibility. Our family, for example, has been the first place to grow . The parents have exerted about 80% influence on the education of the kids.There is no denying that it is the parents’ perseverance and taking actions that really guide the the kids to succeed . If they never take action to do something, the children will never have a real guide to follow. An old saying goes like this: Like father ,like son. A wise father will do his endeavor to help his kids. Kids’ ability to judge right from wrong needs to be developed, so if the adults are not setting a good example, they may lead them to a wrong way.

In a word, I believe, As long as parents give their kids the lead by practising what they preaches, their kids will surely follow their way. They should remind the awareness that parents’ action speaks louder than their words.

Above are two graphic pictures that show a sharp contrast with each other.

As is symbolically and apparently depictedin the former picture, there are two persons, a kid who is doing his homework and his father who is watching TV, while in the latter one, the father and his child are studying together. Moreover, at the bottom of the picture are twelve huge characters, meaning “Parents should set oneself an example to the kids rather than make a demand of their children.”,

making me deep in thought and unable to extricate myself.

The great American humorist and writer Mark Twain once said, “ When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand the old man around. But when i got to be 21, I was astonished that how much he had learned in seven years.” Contrary to what exasperated parents of teenagers may often think and feel, family attitude and parents’ behaviors do lay an important role in shaping the choices of young people make. What people watch ultimately has an impact on what actually occurs. It’s not just because they witness it, cause they believe it and act as though it is. So the moral here is to help children develop positive and pro-social concept about themselves, in that children are likely to make choices or actions that match what they learn from their parents.
